Everything we needed to have a great end

to our Spring Break.

Saturday we hiked, or shall I say walked, the

trail to the lower & middle Emerald pools.

We got up there in time to eat our picnic lunch

& then headed up the trail.

Quinn, Brooke & Croydon came along &

so we were in good company.

While Averi loved every minute of it,

especially her very own "camel-bak",

Lucas did not. He was ok walking for

part of the way, but this kid does NOT like

to walk. He wants to be carried...everywhere!

He did however enjoy looking @ the horses @

the beginning of the trail, he loves "yee-haws", as

they are frequently referred to in our home.

The hike is only 1.2 miles to the lower emerald

pools & back. Very do-able for little kids.

It was great to get out of the house

& enjoy one of the many beautiful places we

have so close to our home.

But now it's back to school. =0(
